"As soon as I heard about the Youth Exchange “Sustainability II”, I felt a huge need to participate, in first place because the project’s theme was sustaintability which is a theme that shoud be discussed more and more because the youngsters of this days need to be more informed to be able to make this planet the best version of it self. In second place, the opportunity to know other cultures and different ways of thinking and acting, alongside the opportunity to practise my english in a more pratical way got me excited.

In this youth exchange I praticipated in a bunch of activities about sustainability that in a simple way, teached me to live in harmony with our enviroment and in activities directed to the interpersonal relationships.

 

This two types of activities complemented each other in a very interesting way.

As I expected, my english improved a lot during the Youth Exchange due to the daily use of it when communicating with the foreign people and translating from portuguese to english and vice versa. At the beginning, I felt some difficulties in finding the words for what I wanted to say but it got better with time.  In my opinion as better I could express myself in english more and more I could learn about others and give more from myself.

With this project I give as well as I received. I became more comprehensive and more tolerant due to the diferente ideas and ways of thinking of which I was exposed all day,which wasn´t very easy but it was a long learning process that I got t through during this week. During this week, I could share my ideas and music too.

 

                           

In sum, this Youth Exchange allowed me to contact with other people from differente cultures, learning more about sustainability, becoming more open-minded, learning to appreciate simple and little things that surround me. I hope that I inspired other people in this Youth Exchange because I got inspired too."
